He answers me " well it's been a week since you said you were going to get rid of the second wardrobe, install a wide chest of drawers, paint them both, and make the room vintage and girly and I'm wondering how come it's not finished yet?"
I burst out laughing! He carried on to say, normally you'd have had me hufting bits of the wardrobe out the following day, the chest of drawers would be installed, and it'd be done by now... You getting on with it or what??
It seems that when I have an idea or I decide something needs to happen design wise onboard then it usually happens in a mad (and sometimes painful!) flurry of activity and he was genuinely puzzled! Of course, he waited until I was just about to go to sleep so then my brain was all fired up and fizzy!!
This then gives me a good excuse to go to my favourite interiors shops for inspiration but the best thing this time has actually been Pinterest. Do you pin? Do you follow anyone?? I'm starting to get really addicted to it and it certainly is popular with those of us who adore the whole vintage shabby chic style era we're in the middle of.
My own boards include delicious interiors, irresistable glassware I can't leave alone, and things I simply just love amongst other areas - do have a look through and see how they make you feel?
Some of my favourite pins but please do check the boards to credit the owners if you do anything with them:
I would absolutely love it if you wanted to share your favourite vintage/shabby boards from pinterest with me so feel free to leave a link, or come follow me on pinterest so I can follow you back!
